  • Do you offer a student discount?

Yes. Please file a request using your .edu email and let us know which plan you're looking to sign up for.

  • What is the difference between public and private snippets?

Public snippets are search-engine crawlable. New public snippets are also listed on the front page of snippets.cacher.io.

By default, you must be signed into Cacher under an authorized user to view private snippets.

  • Are there any volume discounts for the Team plan?

Yes. Please contact us for more information. Indicate the number of seats you're looking to purchase.

  • Can my team get a demo of Cacher's features?

Yes. We'd be happy to give a 30-minute demo of Cacher's features. Please submit a ticket with times that you and your team will be available to chat.

Public snippets are ideal for open-source code. They are featured on Cacher Snippets and crawlable by search engines. Private snippets are useful for internal project code. They are not shared by default or listed on search engines. Labels are ways to tag and organize code for specific purposes or projects. Private labels are not crawlable by search engines. Connect your GitHub account to enable
bi-directional sync for your personal snippets.
Our open-source Command-Line-Interface (CLI) allows power users to easily import snippets from their local machine. Our extension for VSCode gives Cacher users the ability to create and insert snippets without leaving the editor. Our package for Atom Editor gives Cacher users the ability to create and insert snippets without leaving the editor. Our package for Sublime Text gives Cacher users the ability to create and insert snippets without leaving the editor. Use our Quick Create interface from the Cacher Tray App to easily compose new snippets from clipboard contents. The Cacher for Slack App lets users create snippets from messages, unfurl snippet links and receive team notifications. The team plan gives all your account users the ability to create and participate in shared team libraries. Great for building engineering knowledge and onboarding new members. Team members can receive notifications when snippet activities occur. Helps to keep everyone on the same page. When enabled, code reviews require an assigned team member to approve of new or updated snippets. They help to ensure a higher-level of code quality. Team members can be assigned different roles depending on how much access they require to management functions. The Team plan is billed from a central owner's account so you can manage all your seats from one place.
